Muscle building is 80% nutrition.

The key is monitoring your eating very closely. If you have to, take notes or set reminders on your phone. Stop drinking milk, it's for babies. Stop eating cheese so often, its only filled with fat. Not that fat is necessarily bad, but it cheese has no other redeeming qualities.
Your staples should be: grilled chicken, broccoli, eggs, cottage cheese, steaks, and a carbohydrate like oats or rice, sometimes fruit. Protein shakes for extra protein. Try to get a protein shake with as few ingredients as possible. Mix them with water only.

Remember, protein, fat, and carbs. You need protein. You must choose if your diet will be protein with fat, or protein with carbs. You cannot choose fat and carbs, you will get fat.

Carbohydrates are a must for building muscle. Protein is the muscle builder, but the carbohydrates are the energy behind the muscle building process. Fat turns into carbohydrates. That's what obesity is: eating both fat and carbs together will store the extra fat under your skin.

Ideally, you should be consuming around 150-200 grams of protein a day. A good cup or two of carbohydrates in the morning such as oats or rice can last you the whole day. Generally, the only carbs you should be getting are in the morning. The rest of your day's eating should be pure protein as can be.

This is for amateur bodybuilders. Of course the pros eat carbohydrates like a mad man, but they are also working out 4-5 hours a day and on steroids

With a good diet, you do not even need to lift too heavy. Proper form at lower weights with a great diet and you will see better gains than a shitty diet and heavy weight

Do not take pre-workouts. Do not drink coffee before workout. These will get your heart pumping, but they will constrict the veins, and your "pump" will be less. Eat gummie bears or grapes after a workout so the glucose can fill your blood stream.
