Benefits are great if you’re old, for example my grandad is on 22grand a year due to his various bennies (all state no private pensions) But working people are only really entitled to 250 JSA and housing benefits. It’s possible to survive but still a shit existence and ofcourse you can ‘just get a job’ but if you live in a shithole chances are you can’t or can only get zero hour contracts, thus meaning life is still pretty grim
