Dear Japan

Why do you guys still use another culture's difficult, pointless characters to write a significant part of your language?

Why not just use only kanas like Korea with hangul?

Hell, even China thought about replacing its own characters exclusively with pinyin but there was too much historical baggage. Japan doesn't have that problem though--kanji is a foreign import.

hiragana and katakana are also derived from chinese characters
but yes they should just get rid of kanji
chinese characters are retarded
chinese should be replaced with bopomofo

to be honest you don't really need that many kanji to read any regular sentence

no they should replace it with the latin script

also, the reason why they haven't change to an alphabet or kana-only script is because of intertia, the same reason why the rest of the languages don't switch to IPA or a featural alphabet

because it's fun

All those scenes in anime or manga of kids copying 50 characters 50 times each sure doesn't look fun to me.

Homonym's words are easy to distinguish.

accelerationskapacitet

it's literally pointless now with keyboards.

its definitely faster in reading but you basically type your language in the our script.
