Most come from the Punjab region of north west india. Anyone can convert to their religion.
They look like people from this region, but different to people from other regions.
They never cut their hair.
Most likely not, but northwest india is where every invader passed through so punjabis have many features that are rarer in the rest of India

punjab, or if you mean their origin story, they came from the religious clash between Islam and Hinduism and took elements from both to become a Monotheistic religion.
