まず、｢読む｣は他動詞です。必ず、目的語が必要であり、目的語のmarkerは、格助詞｢を｣です。
｢君は、自分の部屋でこの本を読んでください｣
この例文の名詞･代名詞の格を考えてみてください。
「遊ぶ」は自動詞で、目的語を必要としません。「私は遊ぶ」のSVの文型で一文が完結します。
「で」は、行為の背景・舞台を表す格で、「ゲームで遊ぶ」のでは、「遊ぶ」という行為が「ゲーム」を背景として行われたということに他なりません。つまり、「ゲームをすることにより遊んだ」という手段を表しているのが、この場合の「で」格です。
ところが、楽器を演奏するという意味では、他動詞としての用法があり「琵琶を遊ぶ」と言いました。
英語のplay the guitarと同じです。ところが、近世になるとplay with cardsからplay cards cardsのように「花札で遊ぶ」から「花札を遊ぶ」という用法が生まれ、現代の「ゲームを遊ぶ」につながっていきます。
「遊ぶ」は本来は自動詞だったが、現代では他動詞としての用法が生まれているということです。
なお、本来、「遊ぶ」は対動詞で他動詞形に「あそばす」(使役形)がありますが、こちらは主として行うの尊敬動詞として使われます。
可能動詞の「遊べる」も現在では他動詞的にも使われます。

I noticed that just like how Japanese have desu desu desu, Koreans have "습니다"... is there any real connection here? Did Japanese rape Koreans and force them to adopt similar style?

FC教科書体-L is what I'm using, but it seems to only have kanji that are up to level 1 of the kanji kentei. What about all the hyougai characters?
I also noticed that the Japanese ゆ (yu) looks a little like the Russian ю (yu). There's some other similarities too, but not as obvious.
Also the numbers seven eight nine ten (shichi hachi kyu jyu) rhyme in Japanese, just like in Russian (sem vosem devyat desyat). Is there any connection? Who raped who or who stole from who?

『爾汝の交わり』とは、口語では「ちんちんかもかも」、りゃくして「ちんかも」と云う。
