308 in 16"

So im looking at AR10s.

Ive found a manufacturer that I really like, because their receivers are super fuckin thick. The way a 308 should be.

However, the one thing I really dont like is they use carbine length barrels. 16". They do make them in 18", but they are gay ass stainless steel.

Is there any notable difference between using a 16" and an 18" using 308? I really dont care about losing 50 fps that much.

wut?
depending on the type of stainless, it should be more corrosive resistant. and, due to stainless's heat resistance should be more accurate at range.
please elaborate upon your dislike of stainless..?

>notable difference
Nope.
What brand and model are you looking at?

go read.

He's a battle rifle tard, and so he bases all of his decisions on either how cool something looks or how "manly" it is. Utility and practicality are completely foreign concepts to him and his ilk.

You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about.

Stainless is just fuckin ugly. i just simply dont like it.

I like the finish of my rifles all black and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Also if s-ever-htf, its very reflective and visable.

>ugly
No thanks I dont want your benefits package.

Right, because everything in the world is wrong with something looking nice even though they do literally the same thing.
Fuckoff retard.

DB10

There is a volume difference. 18" Is loud, 16" is very loud.
