As for the modern CAF, it's pretty bad. The Navy and Air Force are held together with no name brand duct tape. The Army is better but is plagued by soviet union tier bureaucracy and a low retention rate (due to said shitty bureaucracy) coupled with old and/or poorly maintained equipment. While the training is good for our troops, guts and drill can't do much about our ageing aircraft, ships and gear.
Recruiting is trash too because of identity politics plus a recruitment and component transfers taking so much time.
(P.S. Everyone who deployed to somalia hated the local populace, muslim+african is not a good mix)
