Technically a 39" hunting shotgun will kill someone if you shoot them in the right place, right? Sure it will, and it'll do so handily, but does that mean it is in any way technically or even personally relevant?

There is absolutely no situation under the sun in which a Makarov is a reasonable carry piece much less an ideal one, so why risk carrying such a mechanically and metallurgically outdated glorified .380 used to execute starving Soviets instead of an objectively superior in every metric modern hand gun? Even other, older designs like the 1911 or hi power are great guns and better carry pieces, so why not carry those if they're of significantly better quality?
