Keep pushing yourself.

Not good enough, but it's improvement. Keep going.

Will do. I'm 160 and gaining.

do you include the plates when counting?

Uhh
go try to bench a 145lbs boulder or a 145lbs man
you won't be able to if you can only bench press 145lbs.

SYMMETRIC BARS MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU TO LIFT IT RETARD

I'm new to Jow Forums, mostly lurk other boards. I was benching 145lbs when I was 13 years old. Are you guys trolling or are you talking about kgs?

>be at party
>drunk college sluts mirin in me in my tank top
>one of the girls bets me i cant bench her
>lay down on a coffee table in the middle of the party and bench this chick for 10 reps
>shes bright red and everyone starts losing their shit
>my friend whos a hype beast comes over and makes me take a huge swig of a bottle of sake
>leave the party to go to a diner with group of girls including one i benched
>fuck her brains out that night
>mfw lifting actually got me laid

He's legit. 145lbs at 13 is normal depending upon your demographic. I played rugby as a kid and all my mates got this done ezpz around 13 years. In my regular sports class only me and two other mates could bench 135 in a class of 20. Plenty of non active grown men struggle to bench 135 but most will get it after a bit of training. Huge variance in strength among men.

just got to 92.5kg OHP
i can now press my gf
>inb4 fatty, i have a thing for them

pls be kgs

>145
you meant KG right

145kg girl, jeez user

post body

Not as long as you think. At some point, consider micro-loading 2.5lb rather than 5lbs each workout. As long as you're going up even just a little every time, the progression is quite rapid in retrospect.

I struggled around 165 for what seemed like forever, because my jumps were too big. I bought some 1kg plates, and haven't stalled since.

fattie

>finally bench 3pl8
>now now bench wife
fuck yeah

Pic unrelated

i started benching like a month ago
185 at 155lbs
pretty bad
still working on technique and form at lower weights
think i did 200 once

No homo

She better be 5’6” at least

>Hit 205 bench

Gotta eat big to get big

>hit 250 bench today
>can now bench girl im banging
>wtf

How many reps can Bradly rep out a 225? Google and Yt isn't showing anything.

Lel'd

I probably shouldn't have listened to all the people who kept saying I could make gains on a cut as a beginner.

ur girl fat as fuck

>hit 140 bench
>mfw started at like 95 about 4 months ago
>tfw still an incredibly long slope to 225
>tfw goal is 250+

nice on OP, 145 kg is good

>for some reason been totally psyched out about 135
>can get 5 reps in pretty easily but by 3rd set I'm too psyched out about failing like I always have been at later sets
>decide to ask for spotter today for 4th set
>he doesn't touch the bar unless it's going to start travelling back down
>barely make 4th rep but he's encouraging me
>5th rep
>halfway up, nearly there
>if I had no spotter I would have given up because this was at the point where normally I pussy out
>push through
>can now continue progression without being psyched out about some dumb ass random weight
Always encourage whoever your spotting that shit is the best, helps me get the last rep instead of giving up.
Doubt the guy is here but thanks again

When I started lifting I squatted with my gf on my back (she's about 130 lbs)
Then I bench pressed my gf

Now that I can ohp 137x5 she won't let me ohp her though, she's spooked

Functional strength on display.

That’s not bad

when i was 13 I was at the high school for a field trip, me and my friends tried to bench and none of us could do more than 75 lbs

I started at 90 1 month ago and I'm at 130..

You're doing something wrong.

pls be dating a 145kg girl

Bench doesn't even fucking matter in terms of lifting women. What are you gonna do, lay down on a coffee table like this guy? If you want to lift a woman to impress her, snatch or clean and jerk only

Attached: 113.gif (300x300, 979K)

I wad not lifting weights at 13.

please be in kilos

Oh my god what a fucking monster

this post is blessed

A good spotter can make all the difference in nearly all exercises.

Being able to lift your friend when you grab him around the waist doesn't equal benching your friend's weight you turbo tard.

this pic isnt an OHP

I was benching 90 kg when I managed to bench my gf who is 65. It was just a weirder motion, and much harder to do

I'm torn between hoping you mean kilograms, and really hoping you mean pounds.

I make sure my forearms are 90 degrees with the bar, I keep my elbows at 45 degrees from my body, I focus on tucking my shoulders behind me so I'm only making contact with my head, upper back, butt and feet, I make sure my feet are supporting me without pushing my hips off the bench, and I touch the bar to my chest, so is all that's left really just eating more?
I'm still stuck at 165 at 180...

hit 160 a while ago, currently at 145 lbs while 6'1.
>tfw when turbo skelly mode but making progress

>can't bench 0lbs

Wew lad

Thank God my wife doesn't weight my bench, I don't think I could bring myself to fuck a 495lb hambeast. I did the other day bench my wife for like 20 reps in the park on the picnic table she seemed to super get off on it cause I did it in public

>495 bench
post body

How often do you bench? How much do you weigh? I went from a 350lbs bench to a 495 lbs bench in a year, biggest tips I can give are when you are stalled out use bands, bench 2-3 times a week, and alternate, I have a heavy day, a speed day, and an accessory bench day so I'll hit the cambered bar and bands or use chains that day

I’m taking 0 advice from you and now doing the opposite

it's nothing spectacular, 6'2 250 pretty fat rn just finished a bulk, cutting now

Attached: 433BA52D-06A1-4D22-BA81-AAF0DCFB5CC4.jpg (1242x1345, 1.34M)

looking pretty solid desu, how far are you gonna cut down to?

im probably fatter than you and im only 6'1 200lbs
only lifting since end of january though
my plan is cutting to around 180-185 which should be fairly lean for me and bulking afterwards, never really been lean, was 265lbs pure blob of fat 2 years ago

you think cutting first and then clean bulking is what i should go for?

I usually cut to about 12% when I cut, anything below that usually starts to really impact my lifting, I'm estimating myself in the 18-20 percent range now, I personally like to run it that way I am pretty much always in an 8 week bulk or an 8 week cut or the 8 weeks I run maintenance inbetween, that will change soon I am gonna do some strongman comps and need to keep my weight more stable but I feel like I got my best gains cutting to about 12 and going back to about 18, if you are bigger than 18 I feel like the fat just piles on to fast so definitely cut first then

Good work on the fat loss bro, finish the cut first for sure, the feeling you get the first time you are lean is amazing, you will be able to look back at it after a bulk and cut again way easier

145lbs?
what

garrett ?

>DL 4pl8
>Squat 3pl8
>PHP 165lb
>BENCH ONLY AT 205
Why is this the worst lift

Attached: IMG_20170830_211836.jpg (540x302, 33K)

Let your form go a bit, I know this is kinda bad advice but you're hindering yourself by obsessively worrying about your form. Just a bit, also get a spot

are there seriously people on this board who cant bench their bodyweight? jesus i thought i was dyel..

i was into videogames and shit when i was 13, i never even saw a bench until i was in my 20s

I disagree with this post like crazy, maybe at the weight you are at not it's not that big of a deal but form is so important on the bench unless you want shoulder issues, benchers elbow etc

Famn bro keep at it

I hit a 145lb ohp for reps this week feel good man

>tfw also hit 260 last week for PR
>dead inside
It's an abstract kinda feel, ain't it?

Attached: ed3.jpg (612x612, 40K)

You think that's bad?
DL 545 lbs
Squat 445 lbs
Bench is a measly 265. About 60% of my squat. Symmetric strength says my symmetry score is -54
I'm pathetic

Attached: IMG_6185.jpg (1000x1000, 110K)

thanks man, will do
ive maintained my weight for a year now, and just started a cut, the beginning is always the hardest part

t. long-armed lanklets

I do have long arms. It's freaky. They're disproportionally small and long. Especially compared to my bigass legs. I'm a circus freak and I can't even win a powerlifting meet because I get outbenched every time.

Attached: IMG_1588.jpg (1920x1080, 246K)

DALEET. But at least it makes deadlifts easier.

I hope this is your first month or something. 145 is ridiculously weak.

And suddenly my high deadlift makes perfect sense. Thanks for solving that mystery, user.
