>How do I fast?
Don't eat
>How long should I fast?
Keep going
>Won't I be hungry?
Not after a few days
>Why not just limit calories?
idmprogram.com/difference-calorie-restriction-fasting-fasting-27
>Won't I go into starvation mode?
No, only occurs at extremely low body fat
>Won't I lose muscle?
Not if you lift. Minimal even if you don't. Fasting boosts HGH
>How long will it take me to lose X lbs/kg?
losertown.org/eats/cal.php
*water weight not included
>Can I eat (something with calories)?
A: No
>Can I drink coffee or tea? Diet soda?
Coffee and tea are probably okay. Sweeteners are probably bad. This is debatable
>So only drink water?
For longer fasts, supplement electrolytes. When you feel bad, mix around 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp potassium chloride/citrate in water and sip it throughout the day or take it as a shot. Adjust as needed. Headache=more salts. Watery shits=more water
>Where do I find potassium chloride/citrate?
Stores would have them where they keep the salt. Names include NoSalt, LoSalt, etc.
>Do I need a multivitamin?
Not unless you're going for a month+
>How long does it take to get into ketosis?
Everyone's different. Just stop eating

GLOSSARY
Autophagy: When your body eats useless cells (loose skin, scar tissue, etc). A benefit of fasting
Dry Fasting: Fasting with no water. Dangerous, but it may speed up autophagy
Insulin: Hormone that regulates fat retention. Spiked by eating, especially carbs. Probably spiked by artificial sweeteners
Keto: Very low or zero carb diet that limits insulin and triggers ketosis.
Ketosis: When your body has used all of its carbs/glycogen and starts using fat for fuel

today i broke my fast after 8 days. it's weird how quickly food becomes mundane again after spending so much time fantasizing about it.

>that moment when your boyfriend fasts for a month and you buttfuck his skinny ass

feels good

>skip breakfast and lunch
>eat 2k calories at dinner

what happens? can you still lose weight because of if?

It's kinda like doing nofap. You will get so horny and fantasize about women all day, then after you have fapped, you go, 'meh' and it wasn't all that good.

If you burn more than 2,000 calories a day

I've been on OMAD fairly regularly for about 10 years, even before I knew it had a name or was a thing other people did. During that time I've exercised but not really lifted until the past 3 months. I'm 5'10 and my weight has been in the 160-172 range most of those 10 years. 3 months ago I had let myself go and got up to 169, so I decided to lose weight. Cardio is about the same as it was before, just added lifting and have reduced calories to 1500/day (some days fewer even). I'm at approx. 153 now, but still have a decent amount of fat in my lower abdomen and lower back. For the past 2 weeks my weight has fluctuated between 151-155 (water weight) but always stayed within that range and I don't notice myself getting leaner. With my current level of muscular development I'm thinking 140-145 is a good range for me to be relatively lean, and from there slowly increase my calories and focus on slowly gaining mass. I'm not really sure how to break this stall. As it is I'm consuming around 10,000 calories a week at most, so I don't know if further caloric restriction is smart. Would adding 1 48 hour fast and upping my intake to around 1700 the 6 days I eat possibly work? Any tips?

build muscle first, fast later you fucking twink

If I eat 500 calories a day and do cardio for 500 calories, is my body going to think I'm fasting? What is different between this and actually fast?
