Your best bet is to assume the kid won't fight, and laugh at how insecure he is, point out how pathetic it is that he has to threaten old men to feel powerful, but with thr bloody knuckles, he'd probably just start beating you up. If he starts the fight but you win, his five friends will gut you. If you back down you look like a pussy, and if you don't tell them to quiet down you look like a pussy
If you say he'll get kicked out of school or have legal action taken against him if he does anything, he'd definitely play it like you're a scared pussy
