Rest times

Anyone who rests less that 3 minutes for compound movements is wasting their time

Why is this?

Need time to recover to lift heavy

Sorry but I'd like to do something else with my day than sit around waiting to lift for 70 minutes of a 90 minute workout.

I am there to put in work, lift heavy, and get out. If you cant hit your weight with 1 min - 1 min 30 breaks in between sets then you are just a bitch honestly

I rest for 2 minutes and I'm training for powerlifting.

you must not be lifting very heavy if you can do it again after only 1 minute

either you have to drop the weight or youre weak lol

exactly what a guy squatting 1 plate would say

Any rest period other than two minutes is objectively wrong.

i rarely rest under 5 minutes on compounds, if you have low rest time, you are not lifting heavy (based on your strength)

>Autism: Measuring your rests
Holy shit Jow Forums never fails

90 second rests are optimal for building work capacity

>his workouts aren't finely calibrated to achieve specific goals
dyel?

>”Just go to the gym all the time and lift really heavy and rest for a bit in between fuck whatever just get big brah a couple to a few scoops c’mon”

Hey I squat 1 pl8 and need 3 min of rest between sets...

>not having a 7 minute power blackout after every set
You aren't going hard enough

I work out about an hour and 15 tops. Sometimes less

but how does it affect it
