Anyway, here's my problem: I was a regular consumer of porn until I got involved with this girl recently. I know it messes with your brain chemistry and libido and what you find attractive so I figured in the interest of the relationship I'd cut it out. Unfortunately, it had the opposite of the desired effect; I rarely get erections period anymore, I don't have a lot of drive, and the couple of times we've tried having sex I haven't been able to maintain an erection very long. To save you the time reading it, after you abstain cold turkey from porn the article says you "flatline" for a bit, losing interest in sex and women overall, and it takes a couple weeks before you regain a healthy sexual appetite (This time for 3D sexual situations).

The complication here is that we're both about to go to college (I'm 18 with dick problems how sad is that lol) and I'd really like to have sex with her before we go and she's getting frustrated. I was just wondering if any of y'all had an effective short term fix for this. Should I just relapse a but and watch porn again to get some sort of fake vigor to do the job before I go?

I can I identify with this a lot. I am in a 12-step fellowship for porn addiction (SCA) I can also recommend SAA and SLAA but don't go to SA, they are conservative fundamentalists. I'm really sorry to hear you are going through this, but there is hope.

I was low confidence and kinda autistic for a long time so no real sexual experience before this, and the porn I was into for a couple years wasn't horrific but it's also bad enough that I haven't even mentioned it to close friends (we've had conversations concerning the dangers of porn consumption in the past). You're equating sex with fear and humiliation. Sometimes this is the result of childhood trauma but that's not always the case. The porn could be feeding into those feelings but it's not causing it. I'd honestly see a therapist if I where you guys.

Does it stop with sexual impotence or do you have social anxiety in non sexual situations also? Are you afraid of humiliating yourself when talking to people or feel like you're having a bad social interaction even if the person isn't indicating that with what they're doing?
