Like your body will grow but how will it affect your life exactly? And will that effect be worth the time and effort?

If you spend 1 hour a day on exercise (lifting + cardio) and another extra half hour on proper nutrition as opposed to eating anything that comes to hand, that's 10% of your waking life being invested in your body. What returns do you think you'll get from it?

The Republic Of Ireland is great and all I just don't know what it has to do with fitness

Estimated money spent:
Home gym (one-time investment) $800ish
Roids (just test) - $150/yr
Vitamins/protein - $300/yr
Gym membership - $240/yr

Estimated money saved:
Not going to bars - $2,400/yr
Eating home-made meals - $10,000/yr
Buying cheap clothes/shoes because everything looks good on me now - $500/yr
Not having to splurge on girls to make them want to fuck me - $4,000/yr

Yah man... what a lousy ROI. Let's not even think about the longer life span, ability to enjoy myself later in life, all of the sex and attention, the positive attitude which comes from confidence, the advancement in career because I'm more likable, etc....

I lift for two hours on Monday and Thursday, I run for 30 minutes on Tuesday and Friday, I do core exercises for 45 minutes on Wednesday and Saturday and I go to the gym on Sundays to do deads and squats for 45 mins and then tanning bed. The amount of things that this replaced in my life which were a total waste of time more than compensate so I have more free time than ever before.

>longer life span
>ability to enjoy myself later in life

Obviously hasn't happened yet.

>Not having to splurge on girls to make them want to fuck me - $4,000/yr
>all of the sex and attention
>advancement in career

Has this happened already or are you merely expecting it?

He needs to wear glasses to hide those ugly eyes. Also a thicker neck.

>Roids (just test) - $150/yr
Wat
You make your own or something?

a 20% longer lifespan, with a greater portion spent in good health so I can actually enjoy my later years instead of pathetically withering at 50

Not him but those things have happened. I just have to go out and talk to girls and they're almost Always dtf just because I have a nice body. I even get approached by them.
And he is right about advancement in career aswell, just because you look good people will treat you with way more respect and you are more believable. The "girls dont like abs" meme is just a meme, they're wired to liking and pleasing you if you look good.

It's just a hobby. Being strong and looking decent are quite sufficient rewards and a good workout can really brighten up your day, so I wouldn't say this activity is a waste of time.

Girls like guys whose faces look good. A body is just a bonus, but it's a relative bonus. Like your body can increase your attractiveness 50%, but if you could attract 2% of girls with an average body, you'll attract 3% of girls with an awesome body.

Look at this guy His insta is @drjleader and he has 9k followers but the only pic where he has even one girl mirin is one where he's got his shirt on and wearing a stethoscope.

That's my point: lifting is not worth the effort if your face is ugly. Simply not being fat will give you all the health benefits.

Enjoy the (you)'s OP

>Like your body will grow but how will it affect your life exactly? And will that effect be worth the time and effort?

Yes. You look better to those who would be your friend and more intimidating to those who would be your enemy. Your body becomes an object of awe and envy. People respect you more inherently. You live longer, have a reduced risk of cancer and heart disease (the two number 1 killers on the planet), you don't have a shit-ton of health problems when you age and get older, you build confidence from building yourself up during your training, you no longer have a problem moving heavy shit and you don't get winded going up a flight of stairs.

>If you spend 1 hour a day on exercise (lifting + cardio) and another extra half hour on proper nutrition as opposed to eating anything that comes to hand, that's 10% of your waking life being invested in your body. What returns do you think you'll get from it?

Not being a fat / out of shape / skinny-fat piece of shit like 90% of the population who doesn't lift & watch what they eat, and the points stated prior.

Posts like these should be banned from the board and the users permabanned for being anti-motivation and anti-fitness:

>What the point of lifting if you have to compete with X (David Laid, Jeff Seid ect)
>Whats the point of lifting if its all about face?
>Whats the point of lifting if its all about money?
>Whats the point of lifting if you're a social autist?

First off you're not competing with anyone but yourself, and two, you shouldn't be doing it to impress anyone, otherwise you're doing it for all of the wrong reasons.

d-delete this

Hahahahahahahh

sometimes it's honestly impossible to tell if lifting is worth it or not
a lot of advantages or disadvantages are very indirect and / or have an effect much later

>First off you're not competing with anyone but yourself

Sorry, but competing with other males for reproductive access is what life is. The ability to get pussy and viable offspring is the only thing that can evolve.

1. Living longer
2. Not being sick
3. Being more attractive all the time PLUS synergy multiplier when trying to be attractive-(fat guy in a good suit=mediocre, attractive guy in a good suit=super attractive)
4. Everyone's nicer to you
5. Cuter gf/wife

Totes worth it

I feel these are mostly what you're expecting rather than what you've been getting. #1 for sure.

overall, I have more energy after starting to work out than before I did. I used to sleep 10-12 hours a day, and now I sleep 7 and still feel just as energized. I can play with my nephew outside for as long as he's able to, and he's 3

Yes, already happened. I made it. A picture of my body on Tinder is all it takes to get ass without even going on a date. I have a solid 8/10 GF now though.

What I meant by being able to enjoy myself later in life was that I will still be able to do outdoorsy active things well into my 60s.

6months our of the year at $25/mo. It’s cheap on the deep web, sources aren’t allowed here though.

1. Infinitely higher confidence
2. I don't get sick anymore
3. Everything feels better, from walking up the stairs to picking up a box
4. Friends and chicks mire a lot, which does miracles for self esteem
5. Being significantly more attractive
6. Clothes fit better
7. People respect me more
8. It's really fucking fun to lift big weights

The worst thing about lifting is when you stop training, your investment becomes worthless very quickly.
After 2 weeks you start getting weaker and fatter. It's a regular savings contract that you can't get out of without paying a hefty penalty.

>had a congenital heart defect
not a valid example

>habitual steroid abuser who ODed in a Bangkok whorehouse

totally valid example
