you are gunna need to learn to fall, its really important
i actually started filming some tutorials for beginners with some friends but they are long gone now lol
the worst thing you can do when bailing on blades is too lean too far back, on blades when you can whip backwards and crack your head on the copaign or the floor, which is obviously real bad - so you will need to learn when you on the edge of ur balance.
when you are on the edge of your balance you should try to learn to know when you are going to fall, because you will learn to prepare for the fall.
now imo, the most important thing to learn is to crumple, just like a cars crumple zone to absorb energy, you are going to need to crumple your legs.
by this i mean, imagine going to sit cross legged from standing in one motion, your knees will fold outwards along with your thighs, this might sound menial but it can save you some serious injury.
the second comment i would suggest would be derived from the breakfall in judo.
in judo when you fall you try to increase the surface area of the your body connecting with the ground, and you slap the ground with a flat arm, to increase the area and displace pressure, so you do not get all the pressure on one spot. im not saying you should *breakfall* exactly, but you should attempt to *NOT* land on one piece of your body.
a friend of mine lost an organ after landing on his fist, which pressed into his side, if he was more aware of where his fist was - he would not be fucked now.
it may seem like im overstating it, but learning to fall will become very important if you are skating vert.
