Long hair on men

Why don't more lifters have long hair, Jow Forums? There are literally no downsides, only positives. You automatically set yourself apart from other men, you're seen as more masculine, and there is a sense of prestige associated with long hair. Vikings, nords, old European aristocracy all had long hair. Not to mention it allows you to show off superior genes to people of the opposite sex - balding men can't grow long hair! Not to mention that women - on average - find men who groom themselves and take care of their precious locks genuinely more appealing and sexually attractive.

It's rather sad, because I can walk for hours throughout my home town without seeing a single man with long hair that isn't a hobo, hippie, or a pothead. Why do strong masculine men opt out of long hair? Especially seeing how some men have been able to popularize it and get tons of female attention, aka Jason Momoa, Kit Harington, Orlando Bloom etc. You'd think more men would catch on and grow their hair, but no.

The typical response is
>but it makes you look like a trap!
Incorrect! It will make you look feminine, if and only if, you are DYEL. Strong men with a good frame are able to pull that look off with no worries. _Especially_ because you set yourself apart from all the other carbon copied men out there.

So, Jow Forums, why won't you grow your hair long and charm all of womenkind?

Because growing long hair with high test or the use of steroids is nearly impossible without it looking like shit

Ill give you one reason: because its annoying to take care of. Thats why i cut my long hair. And headbanging got boring after doing it for Years

Because you’re retarded to think long hair looks good on men. I’ve had long hair until I was 16 and people would often make fun of me because they thought I looked like a girl. Cut the hair, started lifting and I am never pulling long hair ever again! Best feeling of my life when I cut it. Short hair is easier to maintain anyways. Can go a week without washing it and it still doesn’t look greasy.

>no downsides,
I have to wash mine twice a day. It's fine on workout days, since I take a shower there. But Sunday is a rest day and I can't be bothered, so on mondays I come to work with greasy hair and stay like that till the lunch break, when I go to the gym.

I have long hair and I get complimented by women all the time. Women play with my hair all the time too. And I've had women ask if they could take pictures of it. Still dyel tho. If only building muscle was as easy has growing hair.

jesus christ the cope

People made fun of you when you were 16 because you probably looked like a mop head hippie thin as a broom trying to score weed.

Great work! If you packed on more muscle you would look amazing. All women appreciate long hair.

Washing it twice a day is too much. Especially if you're using shampoo. It dries out your scalp and causes it to produce more oil in order to compensate.

I have long hair, had it even longer but cut it to shoulder length to not have to do a ponytail 24/7.
It's a very fine line you have to walk to not fall into looking like a trap or looking like a hippie/hobo.
I know it's not something most women are into, but I like it and would hate to be the short hair + beard NPC guy that look like they come from an assembly line.

GO Fuck your mother. I washed that “mop” every single day. A friend of mine decided to grow a long hair right after I cut mine and I bullied him until he did cut it himself. If you ever think long hair on men is good than you might as well be a faggot!!!

kek, so insecure

I try sometimes, but when it gets close to my shoulder Im so fucking sick and tired of my hair being a pain in the ass that I shave it all off

lel, do you want me to pull your LONG hair while I fuck your ass?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?

>Why don't more lifters have long hair, Jow Forums?

Because half of them are bald, and the rest have terrible hair. Long hair only looks good on men if you you have thick, wavy hair. Thin straight hair looks feminine. You also need to have a manly face and at least some muscle to avoid looking like a hipster faggot. That aside, it can be hassle that not everyone wants to deal with.

t. guy with a long hair and a 4plate bench.

I don't have thick hair and it looks pretty bad on me, I'm currently growing it but as soon as I sense some funny business going all I will shave it a never look back

It's a good look if you can pull it off but it also pretty impractical

Anyone realize how autistic it is to go on Jow Forums and try to convince other people to do something?
Like this OP is trying to convince people that they should have long hair. Lists all kinds of benefits and selling points. Do you even realize your self how autistic that is OP?

If I grow my hair out I look like a member of the fucking Supremes.

I was thinking about it but i'm not sure

how much time would it take for hair to grow as long as on op pic?

>that projection
Look who's calling who a faggot. Bet cutting your hair didn't take away those gay desires of getting plowed like you expected them too huh, user? That's okay, it's 2019.

Attached: projecting much.jpg (1280x720, 313K)

My hair is just terrible long, just 100% frizzy jew fro.

side view

i probably should go to hair dresser soon but fuck it i want my hair to look like ops

I only use shampoo about once in two days. Maybe you're right, but I can't skip showering in the gym, can I? And once before sleep seems hygenic. I could skip that one though.

I have a large forehead and can’t be fucked to take care of my hair enough. Also mine does not grow out well, it gets wild and out of control

Makes u look like a faggot
Gets greasy
Pic related makes face look more masculine ,makes jaw look sexy

About 1-2 years. Depending on how quickly your hair grows.

Not true, you can have straight hair and still look good. There are also numerous styling options as well.

You have good hair genetics user. If you grow it out it's likely to be wavy/curly so definitely go for it

>About 1-2 years
... Fuck

>He thinks that the fuckboy haircut is masculine
Maybe if you're black.

thanks bro I'll try it my gf says my hair looks good as it is but I want to try something new

It gets easier when you get to the point where you can get all your hair in a ponytail. But yeah, I gave up on haircuts about three years ago.

I started growing my hair out in August. it's considerably longer on the top than the sides due to the haircut I got before deciding to grow it out. At what point do I get it trimmed to even it out?

When you can get them all in a ponytail. I trim mine about once a year.

I got a shit hairline so I just do a short mohawk or buzz. Minimal maintenance apart from my gf trimming it every week or so, so I have more time playing pretty princess with my beard every day

Not sure why OP is pushing long hair so hard, insecure and trying to break the stereotype maybe?

>Not sure why OP is pushing long hair so hard, insecure and trying to break the stereotype maybe?
No! Trying to motivate other men to become the best version of themselves.

Very few people can actually pull off this look though. You need a thin, angular face with a good jawline.
I've always had a asian-ish round face with huge mongolian cheeks and virtually no jawline and I look like a moron with long hair. I'm growing them out because I don't care enough not to, not because that somehow makes me better.

long hair is only good if from every angle there will be 0 doubt you are a male

so manlets, chinlets, jawlets, framelets etc do not grow long hair

yeah im trying to grow mine right now but problem is that its fucking annoying if you have a labor job.

ponytails etc

Because in a fight, you've just given your opponent convenient handles to control your head with.

~2 years if you get some trims to even it out through the awkward stages. You should give it a go.

Same. I'm peggy hill with a beard when i grow my hair out

Subjective. I’m not attracted to this cut at all, it looks too shaved and makes his skull and neck look weird.
But my fiancé has great long hair so I’m biased that way.

>all these fags itt saying long hair isn't manly
>none of them want to be vikings

Attached: 67256345.jpg (595x694, 161K)

im not there yet

Do you plan everything in your life according to the possibility of public fist fights, you 19 year old slavshit idiot?

When it looks too shaggy and or bushy/uneven. It’s better to get a few small trims along the way to getting it long. Start using a heat protectant when you blow-dry to keep the ends from getting frizzy.

It's bothersome, like a long beard.
Takes a long time to wash, dry, condition, etc.
Why would I torture myself that way?

ever heard of that thing between the ladies' legs? yeah, for that

>Takes a long time to wash, dry, condition, etc.
What did he mean by this? Takes 5 minutes to clean in the shower then you just dry it like normal. Who cares if it's not completely dry when you go out?

>tfw curly hair

It does depend on face shape but most men can pull off some version of a longer hairstyle.

Some built men or otter men will still get mistaken for female, people are on autopilot, especially in conservative areas. Friend has big beard, is stocky in a very masculine way and still gets ‘ma’am’ sometimes. It amuses him to see people backtrack on it when they pay attention. But he’s not insecure at all.

Long hair gives most guys about ten years. Even baby face lads look older. This can be a bad thing or good. I go through five year phases long/buzzed. It’s a fun buzzing off beard/hair and seeing a different you looking back.

7/10, the styling and corners look weird, but I once saw your face and I want to fuck you.

9/10, go for it, man.

Not everyone can pull it off. Slightly wavy looks best for most dudes, beard is also necessary in my book. I have straight almost black hair so it's a bit harder but I go for a more metal look with dark clothes etc.

Pretty low-maintenance too. If you have medium hair you have to use product everyday or you look like shit. Short hair is lowest maintenance. Long hair I just let it loose or tie it back if I want to wear a suit or otherwise look "sophisticated". Main pain is that it takes a while to dry.

Definitely makes you stand out, I get a lot of mires from women. Sometimes use a bit of kohl (eyeliner like what Jason Momoa uses in GoT) and panties drop. If you have some muscle, long hair makes you look like a fucking god.

99% of this advice doesn't apply if you're autistic though because you're gonna look autistic whatever you do. If that's you just stick with a buzzcut.

Been thinking of getting rid of it, replacing with a Hitler youth cut.
Shit is nice and all, but it gets in the way, too silky to braid, have to keep it up in a ponytail while doing anything physical at all.
What do y'all think?

Attached: 20190121_100810.jpg (1843x2571, 2.58M)

>once saw my face
??

Long hair has become increasingly popular, especially with the popularity of Jason Momoa these days.

Only baldcels will disagree.

This.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR LONG HAIR! you're a beautiful man, the only people who would encourage you to cut that are seething jealous normalfags

You would slay with short hair. Your long hair is too straight and silky to be masculine, middle part looks weird too. You look great, but the long hair is giving you a psycho pyromanic kind of vibe.

Sorry to be a hater, I have long hair too, rock it if you like it. I get compliments on my hair but loved getting more attention when I had short hair, everyone tells me to keep it and I feel that growing it out would've been a waste if I just cut it now, I literally have dreams of having short hair and loving it wondering why I didn't cut sooner, I'm probably projecting my insecurity on you.

I’d try a shorter but still long cut and side part using some volume zing product first. It looks like it has no root volume at this length and the ends aren’t so great.

9/10, it’s perfect, don’t do it.

You posted your face here.

Here’s an old photo of me when I had long hair. I miss it Jow Forums and I’m regrowing it

It doesn't look good
It takes a lot of effort to make it look good
You can get grabbed by the hair in a fight
Also if you share a bed it gets pulled easily, not that you'd know

I thought you were a coworker or something. I guess I dodged that bullet haha

Looks pretty terrible on you, imho

This is a beanercut

10/10 absolutely elvish

Get it styled. Go to a salon. It looks autistic. Metal is for retards.

9/10, good choice.

>i have bad hair genes so all men look bad with long hair

Based reality poster.

Fact 1: Most men don't look good with long hair

Fact 2: Any man who does look good with long hair would look better with short hair

Thanks brah, I'm very mixed on cutting it, on 1 hand, it took me years to get this hair, and I never see males around with hair like it, so its rare.
On the other, it is nonstop pooing on me when it's down, and it looks really bad when it's up in a pony, idk man.

I think I'd probably do alright with short hair, but it's taken me years to get this hair, once I go short there isn't really any going back.
Yeah the middle part is annoying, I've tried to train it away, but it doesn't want to bend the knee.
I've tried drying it out to get rid of the silkiness (I really wanted to braid this shit viking style) but my hair just turns to shit dried out, it's either silky or bust.

I've tried the mid length look, I think uts fantastic, I can never find a hair person to maintain it right though, yeah the ends are kinda fucked, I need to trim the ends to get a healthier look.

Aww thx bby

It'd be a shame to cut it.

>long hair
...you mean like a girl?

You’re an idiot, you just have bad genes

Nobody said this was a LE AKS ME ANYTHING LELELELELE thread you fucking trap

Lehddit is this way >>>>>>>>>>>>> faggot

>it's either silky or bust
Personally my hair gains tremendous volume once I stop with the shampoo for some days and just take showers and comb etc and maybe only a minimal amount of surfactant to not enter oily territory and remain clean. But everyone has different hair so it could be hopeless but maybe there's a possibility you're just using the wrong products and tactics etc in your hygiene routine

Cringe.

underage b&

Literally just go to a nice salon and have the faggot or woman cut it into a style. Middle part and same length while looking whispy thin is not good.

>the fucboi standard of 90% of all young adult men.

This is why men should have long hair.
Not really, you can just cut it yourself. Variable hair growth will make sure it also maintains a 'wild' look. Also, straight cuts are no good on guys.
Agree!
Keep it

I've only ever received compliments from men and women for my hair, I'm still dyel so it's not like I look like a warrior/knight/god yet.

Attached: 65747854865343564.png (532x655, 357K)

i reckon because most people are a bit more ambitious than being NEET/servers/bartenders for the rest of their lives

Keep that shit my guy. I'm 100% straight and you're beautiful as fuck. Like another user said, maybe try to find something that'll give your hair just a little more volume, and experiment with styles other than the middle part. Nothing wrong with it but it's nice to have variety. Maybe try a side part or taking it all back. Looks great though. Anyone who tells you it doesn't is just filled with baldy cope.

How long have you been growing? I'm growing out my curly hair and it's down to my chin after about a year.

Try dry shampoo instead of every other wash, also maybe a periodic deep conditioner only on bottom half of hair instead of using a regular one, it looks like your hair is too flat on top from over-conditioning. No volume. You should be varying your part a bit anyway but it takes training it that way with product and a blow dryer for a while to lose a persistent part.

8/10, looks like you’re receding.

sadly long hair is usually just what ugly men do to try to have something 'different' about them.

You can't be successful with long hair?

Yeah user, like a gurl

Attached: 60D39749-6F2E-4BD3-A75C-77C891B56D1D.jpg (402x650, 38K)

damn I hope not, I'm only 18 and my parents/grandparents aren't balding. it might be the angle

how many successful men with long hair who are not actors, musicians, models or live off their looks in some way can you think of?

have you ever seen a white collar employee with long hair or a politician, high status=/= long hair, except you are already rich or famous because of your looks

Wrong-o. More tech guys have long hair and tats than ever. 6 figures, office casual and a ponytail is practically a meme these days.

It's kind of annoying to have long hair. You need to put it in a bun if you're gonna do squats, but then if you're also doing bench or something, the bun is suddenly in the way.

It's also always in the way when I train MMA or grappling.

I'm considering getting some sort of meme undercut haircut just to avoid the hassle.

>tfw wavy hair that grows up and out into a gigantic jewfro rather than down
>tried growing it when I was 14 and in denial and just kept thinking eventually it would come down in some kind of cool LotR or Metal Gear Solid looking style
It looked terrible. It looked like my head was a solid 75% of my body mass. I hate douchebags that can grow hair down.
