Usenet was kill by phpBB, binaries where never a problem, those where just kept for way shorter period of time on server.
Kinda interesting how boards/forums also died and people moved mostly to youtube of all places.

zoomer here i payed for usenet for two months last summer, I think it's great. Dont have it anymore tho as I dont have a job so cant afford it. I will definitely get a subscription when I have money though
