Ghosting happens. My pic doesn't have ULMB.
Pic related. ULMB is actually about as good as we can get. Most monitors can't do it though, and it's doubtful a 6k/8k display would, at least in 2019.

Again - mainstream CURRENTLY has ghosting still, but when panels with 288Hz and 4ms ORT start appearing, ghosting will be essentially nonexistent.

I'll believe it when I see it.
OLED and MicroLED can do rolling scans, which work similar to CRTs, by showing the image as a fast moving bright dot, using our persistence of vision to display the frame.
Only OLED VR headsets do this though as far as I know.

OLED is obsolete, because they couldn't fix the blue problem, for all these years.
