Is any of the japanese anons around an actual hikikomori or has gone through a phase like that?
Also, people from other countries, if you've ever gone through a social-withdrawal phase, share your experience.
I went through it a couple of years back. I played massive online videogames 24/7, hardly slept at all, ate nothing but junk foods, you name it... I'm better now, but, man, it is hard to deal with everyday life and people's expectations, that's for sure...
yes at 11 years old i first became a complete shut-in, quit school after years of being bullied/harrassed, molested, stolen from, got diagnosed with depression and anxiety
from then on it's been on and off
i found solace in the Internet, books, games, art, etcetera, but mostly sleeping

Perfect World. I think it still exist. It was free back then, and it was the first MMO I ever played. Beautiful, but very strict as of the skill point system. I dedicated most of my skill points to Strength when I should have done Health and Endurance LOL
Well, I have no friends at the moment, I have no one in my contacts except very close family (sistesr+parents). I play LoL and browse Jow Forums 12-16 hours a day at the moment and have been doing so for 3 years. Before that I went to highschool but immediately ran home asap to play vidya again. I'm completely used to being alone now tbf. It's really funny when people say "i haven't went outside in 3 days" or "i haven't spoken to anyone in 2 days" because for me i sometimes don't go outside for 2-3 weeks (until i have to go to grocery store or something) and i haven't spoken to anyone my age in years.

Portugal is one of the few western countries I feel I know nothing of. Not economy, not history, no nothing, to be honest.
Leaving that aside, I hope you doing good, stay good and get better portug-user
> I have no friends at the moment Reminded me of a british movie I saw some time ago called The Full Monty. There is a character that says the exact same thing to guys he just met, and one of them say, What you mean, you do have friends, us :)
If your age exceeds "young" according to Belgium's standards I cannot really tell for sure, but Belgium has a strong economy all together, you should probably give job/uni another shot and aim for being independent, healthy and happy, even if your only communicate with friends over the internet (It's actually better that way, to be quite honest)
