How’d you go about learning Spanish user? I want to learn but have no idea where to start.

Well, I grew up a 20-minute drive from Castilla Y Léon, so I could get Spanish channels on the telly. That's how I learned Spanish.
If you speak English, it'll only take you a few months to learn Spanish if you're really eager to learn Spanish.
The basics are completely different: Germanic-Latin; but the ''fancy'' words are more or less the same. You'll realize that you can easily translate words back and forth.
Plus, the structure of the sentences is not that abnormal.

Move to Texas and work for a restaurant. I didn't 'learn' Spanish, I just absorbed it. Plus it's fun to confuse Mexicans with words they don't use. Like saying 'bombillas' instead of 'popotes'

I started on duolingo, got about half way through the tree, started incessantly posting on /esp/ and hilo latino, got in some telegram groups, did a course on it. And now I'm B2.2.

find a spanish grammar website to slowly comb over.
ignore spanish tv at first, not worth the time.
translate frases on Jow Forums into spanish using highlight and google translate ext. you'll start notcing patterns in language the way you use it (instead of what happens to be in a book).
repeat everything you hear. speaking a language, especially in the beginning, is almost like playing a character. you have to be believable (to yourself) so that you use it.

Guatemala is a nice place to go...they are Mexico's Mexico lel Been there! It's not expensive, the people are nice and you have Tikal to see...nice cool climate too. If you decide to learn Spanish down there, chose them or Peru.
