Haven't started yet, waiting for my mass gainer and creatine to run out. SHould be starting in about 2-3 weeks. Excited to start though, i've gotten visibly bigger and despite packing on a gut like OP's webm, my abs are big enough to be very visible, so looking forward to having some killer abs once i cut.

I'm at 1000kcal deficit and while I some days feel fine I mostly feel like shit. Do what makes you feel good, I'll return to 500 deficit kcal to prevent the brainfog.
The weightloss has been great though.

so like, when you "bulk", do you intentionally eat stuff that will make you fat instead of eating lean stuff that will build muscle but without fat? if so, then why would you deliberately choose to look like shit while bulking, and then starve and feel like shit while cutting?

Certain foods don't make you fat. It's the caloric surplus that leads to fat gain. If you're natural you want about a 250-500 calorie surplus. Lots of people think they have to just eat and eat and eat but that's not how it works for natties. Only enhanced guys like myself can do the crazy 100+ surpluses without getting fat.

Bulking is to make sure your body has enough calories to promote maximum growth of muscle and so you get a bit of fat leftover during that process.

I'm similar to you. Being that I'm tall, on roids, and over 200 pounds, I can safely eat close to 5k calories a day without any fat gain.

I started 3 weeks ago and I'm down 7-9lbs depending on what time of day I weigh myself. IDK my TDEE so I've just been doing 10xbw in lbs. I have a huge appetite so it was hard at first and I had to spend all day actively restraining my impulse to eat. For some reason recently I've gotten to 200-300kcal under my goal a few times this past week and just stopped being hungry, feels good.
